Moc Chau Plateau, in the north-western province of Son La, where hills and valleys are dyed in plum blossoms’ white.
After a long and harsh winter, the sunlight is once again melting away the frosty air, and clearing away the muddled fog, bringing colour and liveliness back to the Moc Chau Plateau.
Though located 180km west from the capital Hanoi, road trippers often find themselves entranced in the “road to white heaven”, as the roads are riddled with the pure white colour of plum blossoms.
The plum blossoms in Moc Chau Plateau bloom in all its glory, but quickly fade away within two-three weeks. Therefore, during the first half of February, the region is usually crowded with thousands of visitors, particularly in the villages of Long Luong, Thong Cuong and Pa Phach.
